When deciding to book a holiday there are often many questions that need answers, and below are just some of the ones that we often get asked together with their answers. If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us.
Please note once you have confirmed your holiday you will be sent a link to the digital "Guest Information" book for your cottage in which we have tried to anticipate your every need. In this digital book you can expect to find an insider’s guide to the area’s must-see attractions, hidden gem restaurants, best local pubs and activities, together with property specific details such as directions, post codes for supermarket deliveries and instructions how to use the appliances.
Over the years we have had many many dog guests, both large and small come to stay and the garden fencing has have contained them without a trouble. We would never say they are totally secure as if you have a complete escape artist where there is a will there is a way and all of that!
No not at all. We so appreciate that dogs are very important members of the family thus they are welcome to use all of the cottage along with their human parents. The only "house rule" we have is we ask that dogs do not go onto the beds. The linen and bed covers are very expensive and difficult to remove pet hair from.
Yes we do supply tea towels and oven gloves. In your cottage you will also find a starter pack of tea, coffee, salt, pepper, loo paper, basic cleaning materials, olive oil etc.
Yes the cottages all have WIFI and most mobile networks work well. Please note that this is a rural area so super-fast broadband has yet to reach us!
Yes there is a hair dryer in each bedroom.
Coleridge is ideal for those with restricted mobility as the parking is directly outside of the cottage. The living area and the bedrooms and bathrooms are all on ground level with no steps. Please note that this cottage although accessible is not DDA compliant.
Greenway is also arranged over one floor and has downstairs bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms, but there are five quite steep garden steps which need to be navigated to reach the property.
The Quantock Hide is not suitable for those with restricted mobility as the accommodation is over two floors and there are a set of 17 steps to reach the property
Yes. Some of the very best walking in the country is on the door step the 9,500 acres of Quantocks (SSI & AONB). The coast is also only a mile and a half away.
Yes all three are. They are all luxurious, private and romantic. The most romantic is the Quantock Hide, with canopied bed and roll top bath for two. This cottage is our most popular for honeymoons and mini-moons.
Yes. Each property has its own hot tub. The hot tubs are heated all year round and are serviced daily.
No you book these direct with the individual service providers as you know your diary and they know theirs! When you book your stay, you will be sent in your documentation a link to the cottage's digital house-book. Contained within this is the menus and contact details for the providers.
Yes they are. They are toasty warm in the winter and lovely and cool in the summer.
Yes. All the local beaches are dog friendly year round, although in the summer at Minehead beach you have to keep to the right hand side. For best sandy beaches, Blue Anchor, Dunster and Bream Beaches fit the bill. Your local beach is Kilve, a mile and a half away.
Yes all three cottages have central heating. Coleridge & Greenway have wall to wall underfloor heating. The Quantock Hide has normal wall mounted radiators and underfloor heating in the bathing areas. We should also mention that each and every bathroom has heated towel rails - nothing worse than having a damp towel!
Yes all the main supermarkets deliver. As do the local Butcher/fishmonger and the local green grocer/deli.
Yes, each cottage has a Nescafe Dolce Gusto machine, together with filter coffee machines for those who like their coffee the old fashioned way. And so tea drinkers don't feel left out, each cottage has its own full tea set!

The Hood Arms at the end of the lane in Kilve is open after an extenisve refurbishment and is under new management and is quite excellent. The Hood is very dog friendly. There is also the Plough Inn at Holford which is a mile and a half away and is a very pretty walk through the woods and it is also dog friendly. The village shop/post office at the end of the lane is quite excellent.
Yes we do but please let us know in advance of your stay if you need them.
Each cottage has a full size American style fridge freezer so there is plenty of storage space.
